Itinerary
Upon arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport, the group will be greeted by an English-speaking guide and a private coach for a half-day tour of Baroque Rome. The tour will include visits to iconic landmarks such as the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona, offering a glimpse into the city’s historic charm. During the exploration, guests will enjoy an ice cream tasting featuring two flavors. The group will then be transferred to their hotel, where rooms will be available from 14:00 onwards. The day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay in Rome.
The day will begin with a full-day guided tour of Pontifical Rome, featuring visits to the Vatican Museums and the awe-inspiring St. Peter’s Basilica. The tour will then extend to Christian Rome with a visit to Saint Paul Outside-the-Walls, followed by a scenic walk along the ancient Appia Antica. Along the way, guests will witness historical sites such as the Catacombs, Circo Massenzio, and Cecilia Metella from the outside. Free time will be allocated for lunch during the tour. At the end of the day, the group will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Rome.
Guests will embark on a half-day guided tour of Imperial Rome, featuring visits to the iconic Colosseum and the Roman Forums. Afterward, they will have free time for lunch before participating in an exciting Gladiator School activity in the afternoon. This unique experience includes a visit to the Historical and Educational Museum of the Roman Legionnaire, showcasing both military and civil aspects of ancient Rome. Participants will also receive hands-on training in gladiator combat techniques using period-accurate wooden swords and tunics. The day will conclude with a return to the hotel, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Rome.
Early in the morning, the group will depart by coach for Tuscany, covering approximately 240 km. Upon arrival, they will enjoy lunch at a traditional agriturismo, accompanied by an olive oil tasting. In the afternoon, a local guide will lead a half-day tour of Siena, allowing visitors to explore the city’s rich history and stunning architecture (no entrances included). Following the tour, the group will continue their journey to Montecatini, approximately 115 km away, for hotel check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.
The day will begin with a transfer by private coach to Florence, approximately 50 km away. A local English-speaking guide will lead a half-day walking tour (2 hours and 30 minutes, no entrances included), allowing guests to take in the city’s remarkable landmarks. After the tour, free time will be provided for lunch. In the afternoon, guests will participate in a cooking class, where they will learn to prepare traditional Italian delicacies such as pizza, focaccia, and ice cream. The class will conclude with a final tasting of their creations. The group will return to Montecatini for dinner and an overnight stay.
An early morning departure will take the group to Maranello, approximately 155 km away, where they will visit the renowned Ferrari Museum. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the museum at their own pace, as the visit will be self-guided. The journey will then continue towards Milan, covering approximately 190 km. During the trip, free time will be allocated to enjoy a packed lunch. Upon arrival in Milan, guests will check into their hotel and settle into their rooms. The day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay in Milan.
A half-day guided tour of Milan will take guests through some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Sforza Castle, the Brera District, Scala Theater, Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, and the magnificent Duomo. After the tour, free time will be provided for lunch. The afternoon may be spent shopping and exploring Milan at leisure, or guests may opt for an optional visit to attractions such as the Brera Picture Gallery or the Museo di Leonardo (entry prices to be announced). The day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay in Milan.
On the final day, the group will be transferred by private coach to Milan Malpensa Airport for their flights back to the USA, marking the end of their unforgettable journey through Italy.
